Introduction

The Psychology Undergraduate Program offers a comprehensive education in understanding human behavior and mental processes. The main objective of the program is to provide students with the basic concepts, theories and applications of psychology by examining the emotional, social and cognitive functioning of individuals through scientific methods. In this program, which usually lasts four years, students learn about different sub-branches of psychology. These include clinical psychology, social psychology, developmental psychology, learning psychology and cognitive psychology.

The academic content usually consists of theoretical and applied courses. In the first years, students are given basic courses such as general psychology, research methods, statistics, etc., while in the following semesters they are directed to more specialized subjects. Students have the opportunity to reinforce their theoretical knowledge with practice by participating in various research projects and case studies related to behavioral sciences.

Teaching methods include lectures, group work, seminars, laboratory work and practical workshops. In addition, students are provided with teaching materials to develop critical thinking, problem solving and research skills.

Psychology graduates have a wide range of career and employment opportunities. Graduates can work in fields such as educational institutions, hospitals, counseling centers, human resources departments and research organizations. Those who wish to become clinical psychologists are required to undergo additional training and certification processes.

The program also provides internship and practicum opportunities for students to gain professional experience. These internships allow students to apply their theoretical knowledge to real-world situations and gain experience in professional work environments. Psychology education provides students with an in-depth perspective on understanding human behavior and mental processes, as well as the ability to intervene in various psychological problems encountered in society.
