The Hotel Management Undergraduate Program may not be suitable for individuals who do not have certain characteristics and expectations. The dynamic and demanding nature of this program may not suit everyone's interests or skill set. In particular, this program may be challenging for individuals who avoid direct interaction with people, cannot adapt to flexible working hours or do not prefer constantly changing working conditions.
People who are not interested in business and management skills or who do not aspire to a career in these fields may find the content and career opportunities offered by the program unsatisfactory. Individuals who are not interested in hotel management, financial management, marketing, customer relations and human resources management, or who do not aspire to work in these areas, may find the curriculum and future career opportunities inadequate.
In addition, individuals who prefer regular and predictable working hours, have difficulty coping with stressful situations or do not feel comfortable in fast-paced work environments may also find the requirements of this program challenging. The tourism and hospitality industry may require long and flexible working hours, especially during peak seasons, and this may not be suitable for some individuals.
The Bachelor of Hotel Management may also not be an ideal choice for individuals who want to gain in-depth expertise in technology, engineering, science or other specific fields. This program provides skills and knowledge for a more service-oriented industry and therefore may not be sufficient for those with technically or scientifically oriented career goals.
Finally, although this program provides students with a broad perspective and intercultural interaction skills, it may be too general for individuals who wish to specialize in a more local or narrow field. Therefore, individuals whose personal interests, skill sets, and career goals are not aligned with what this program offers should not choose the Bachelor of Hotel Management Program and should consider more suitable alternatives.
