Introduction

Antalya is a province located in southwestern Turkey on the Mediterranean coast and is also one of Turkey's most popular tourist destinations. Combining natural beauty, historical richness and modern city life, Antalya welcomes millions of local and foreign tourists throughout the year.

Antalya's climate is a typical Mediterranean climate. Summers are hot and dry, while winters are mild and rainy. Average summer temperatures range between 28-34 degrees, while in winter these temperatures drop to between 10-15 degrees. Annual precipitation is about 1000-1200 mm, especially in the winter months. Winds generally blow from the north in summer and from the south in winter.

Antalya's vegetation is covered with maquis and Mediterranean plants such as olives and laurel under the influence of the Mediterranean climate. There are also red pine forests at the foot of the Taurus Mountains.

In terms of demographic structure, Antalya is one of Turkey's fastest growing cities. Its population has increased in recent years, bringing together people from various cultures. People from all over Turkey and various countries around the world increase the cultural diversity of the city.

The cost of living is higher in Antalya compared to other major cities in Turkey. Property and rental prices are high, especially in the touristic areas and along the coastline. However, the city balances this cost with the quality of life it offers.

Antalya, whose economy is largely based on tourism, also stands out with agriculture and trade. Especially greenhouse cultivation and citrus production are common. It also has a real estate market that attracts investors.

In terms of health services, Antalya attracts attention with its modern hospitals and health institutions. High standards of health care are offered in both the public and private sectors.

Transportation to Antalya is provided by air, land and sea. Antalya Airport hosts many domestic and international flights throughout the year. Land transportation is also developed and buses and private vehicles can easily reach the city.

In terms of urban transportation and infrastructure, Antalya has a modern and efficient transportation network. Tram and bus lines facilitate transportation within the city, while wide and well-maintained roads relieve vehicle traffic.

The local cuisine reflects a blend of Mediterranean and Anatolian cultures. Typical dishes include kebabs, appetizers and seafood. In addition, the traditional desserts of Antalya, pismaniye and zucchini dessert are also very famous.

Sights to see in Antalya include natural and historical attractions such as Kaleici, Duden Waterfall and Konyaalti Beach. The city also has many modern shopping centers, parks and social areas.

The advantages include a high standard of living, good climate and natural beauty. The disadvantages are the large influx of tourists, especially in the summer months, and the consequent increase in the cost of living.
