What is the AGU Preparatory Program like?
A lot of courses: Reading 0 to Speaking 4; Presentation Skills to Summarizing; English for Art & Design to English for Physics.
Short terms: Each semester consists of 7 weeks of learning and teaching and one week of assessment.
Placement in different classes for different subjects.
Frequent changes in classes to ensure you always meet new people.
Reasonable class size; Writing and Speaking students will normally have no more than 20 classmates.
An adult system in which students earn credits in the same way as they do in college.
Friendly and caring teachers who will encourage and guide students, but will not treat them like schoolchildren.
Lots of self-access materials and other opportunities for self-directed learning and practice. This system is interesting for everyone.
