Introduction

Adana is a large and vibrant city located in the Southeastern Anatolia Region of Turkey, on both sides of the Seyhan River. The city's geographical location, close to the Mediterranean Sea, greatly influences its climate. Adana has a Mediterranean climate; summers are long, hot and dry, while winters are mild and rainy. Annual average temperatures are generally high and can exceed 40°C in summer. These temperature variations also affect the city's vegetation; plants such as olive trees, citrus fruits and cotton thrive in this climate.

Adana is one of the most populous cities in Turkey and is home to people from diverse cultural backgrounds. The demographic structure of the city is in a constant state of flux, both in terms of the density of the local population and migration from neighboring provinces and abroad. While this enriches the social and cultural fabric of the city, it also brings some infrastructural challenges.

Living in Adana is generally affordable. Housing prices and the general cost of living are more affordable than in the western parts of the country. However, high temperatures, especially in the summer months, can cause some health problems and lack of comfort. The city's economy is based on agriculture, industry and trade. Especially the agricultural sector is highly developed thanks to its large land structure and fertile soils. In the industrial sector, textile, food processing and chemical sectors stand out.

In terms of health services, Adana is equipped with various public hospitals, private clinics and health centers. With the advantages of being a metropolitan city, health infrastructure is generally adequate and accessible.

Transportation to Adana is provided by road and air. Urban transportation is supported by buses, minibuses and the recently developed light rail system. The transportation infrastructure has been modernized and made more functional, especially after gaining metropolitan status.

The local cuisine is known for delicacies such as Adana kebab, turnip juice and bici bici dessert. These dishes are an integral part of the city's cultural identity and are enjoyed by locals as well as tourists.

Among the places worth seeing, Taskopru, Sabanci Central Mosque and Seyhan Dam Lake stand out. However, the social life of the city is vibrant and various festivals, concerts and cultural events are organized.

The advantages of living in Adana include a low cost of living, rich cultural activities and ample job opportunities, while the disadvantages include high summer temperatures and sometimes heavy city traffic. Nevertheless, Adana attracts more and more people every year due to its dynamic nature and the variety of opportunities it offers.
