Rize is a province located on the eastern Black Sea coast of Turkey, which is a very humid and rainy region in terms of climate. Short showers are possible, especially in July and August. The high humidity and heat can be particularly challenging for the elderly and people with chronic illnesses.
Autumn is a season when rainfall increases again in Rize. Rainfall starts in September and increases continuously until November. During this period, temperatures start to decrease between 15 and 20 degrees. Winds usually blow from the north and winds blowing from sea to land in the fall increase the amount of precipitation.
These climatic conditions of Rize have a significant impact on daily life. Due to the constant rainfall, the use of umbrellas and raincoats is common, and this can sometimes limit outdoor activities.
