Language Proficiency
The language of instruction at Lokman Hekim University is Turkish. Candidates must have sufficient Turkish language proficiency in order to follow the courses. Candidates who are entitled to enroll must document their Turkish proficiency level. Students who cannot prove their Turkish proficiency level will be educated in the Turkish preparatory class before starting their education. Acceptable Turkish proficiency documents can be obtained from the Turkish Level Test conducted by the university or Yunus Emre Institutes. Turkish proficiency levels are as follows:
C1 Level: Turkish is sufficient. He/she can start his/her education.
B2-B1 Level: Turkish is not sufficient, but can be improved. These students are obliged to improve their Turkish proficiency to C1 level within the given additional 2 years, without prejudice to their right to enroll in the undergraduate program.
A2-A1 Level: No or insufficient Turkish. Those in this situation must improve their Turkish proficiency to C1 level within the given additional 2 years, without prejudice to their right to enroll in the undergraduate program.
Turkish language proficiency levels are in line with the European Language Portfolio Turkish Language Proficiency Levels (ADP). These regulations are implemented in order to increase the academic success of the students and to make the education process more efficient.

- Candidates who will apply to Lokman Hekim University must prepare the following documents:
- Original High School Diploma
- Notarized copy of High School Diploma with Turkish translation
- Original Transcript
- Notarized transcript with Turkish translation
- Notarized copy of passport with Turkish translation
- Preliminary and Final Acceptance Letter
- Photocopy of stamped passport pages
- Deposit and remaining annual fee receipts
- Certificate of Equivalence
- 5 Photos
