Double Major Program

Double Major applications are made in accordance with the provisions of the regulation published in the Official Gazette dated April 24, 2010 and numbered 27561 and Lokman Hekim University Double Major and Minor Program Directive. Students can apply from the beginning of the third semester of the undergraduate program they are enrolled in and until the beginning of the fifth semester in four-year programs, the seventh semester in five-year programs, and the ninth semester in six-year programs. In associate degree programs, applications can be made from the beginning of the second semester until the beginning of the third semester.

In order to apply, the student must have successfully completed all courses in the major program until the semester of application. In addition, at the time of application, the student must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.72 out of 4.00 and be in the top 20% of the success ranking in the major program. Students who have a GPA of at least 2.72 out of 4.00 but are not in the top 20% can also apply if they have the base score of the program they apply for in the relevant year. In the evaluation, priority is given to those with a 20% success ranking and a higher GPA.

Students cannot enroll in more than one double major program at the same time, but they can apply for a minor in a different program in addition to the double major program. Students enrolled in a major diploma program cannot apply for a double major for the same program. Undergraduate students can double major in both undergraduate and associate degree programs, while associate degree students can only double major in associate degree programs. For applications to double major programs that take students with an aptitude exam, students must be successful in the aptitude exam.

In order for students enrolled in Lokman Hekim University undergraduate diploma programs with inter-institutional transfer and vertical transfer to apply for double major programs, they must study at least one semester in the program they enrolled in.

 

Minor Program

Minor applications are made in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation on the Principles of Transfer Between Associate and Undergraduate Programs, Double Major, Minor and Credit Transfer Between Institutions in Higher Education Institutions published in the Official Gazette dated April 24, 2010 and numbered 27561 and Lokman Hekim University Double Major and Minor Program Directive.

In order to apply, the student must have successfully completed all credit courses in the major program until the semester of application. Students can apply to the minor program at the beginning of the third semester at the earliest and at the beginning of the sixth semester at the latest. At the time of application, the cumulative grade point average (GPA) must be at least 2.50 out of 4.00. Students cannot enroll in more than one minor program at the same time, but they can enroll in a double major program in addition to the minor program.

Students enrolled in Lokman Hekim University undergraduate diploma programs with inter-institutional transfer or vertical transfer must study at least one semester in the program they enrolled in in order to apply for minor programs.
