Bilkent University offers student exchange programs with 347 universities from 51 countries.
Students applying for exchange programs are selected based on their academic achievements and interview results. Students participating in the program spend one or two semesters of their junior or senior year at a contracted university abroad. They take courses compatible with their programs at the university they attend, and when they return to Bilkent, they count the courses they have taken abroad as part of their program and continue their education without interruption. Students who go to universities in Europe under the Erasmus program can cover a significant part of their expenses from European Union funds.

Thanks to these programs, students gain a global awareness by getting to know different academic and social cultures. The University's International Students and Exchange Programs Office provides guidance to students before they go abroad and supports their adaptation process.
Bilkent determines the institutions with which it will make exchange program agreements in line with its own educational quality and standards among the leading universities of the countries. Today, around 3,900 students have participated in exchange programs.900 students abroad under exchange programs, Bilkent University has opened its classrooms to some 2,200 students from countries such as the United States, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Slovenia and South Korea.
